Volunteers play an integral role in helping KEXP accomplish its mission as a listener-powered arts organization. In total, 681 volunteers donated 32,314 hours to KEXP during 2017. The generous contributions of these volunteers—whose duties range from photography and DJ assisting to gift processing and in-studio hospitality—help power every aspect of KEXP. Volunteers greatly impact KEXP’s ability to connect with listeners and make our Gathering Space an accessible hub for the community. To that end, volunteers gave more than 650 tours to approximately 3000 guests including 700 students from 35 schools and youth organizations.
